Despite the obvious advantage of having Louis CK involved, I'm pretty sure I won't like this. A lot of what makes Louie so awesome is that it's basically CK doing whatever the fuck he wants. Do we really trust CBS to let him do that?

Caught Once Upon A Time In Anatolia at the Cinema last night. For the most part a beautiful movie. Like most of the people in the comments on Scott's review, I thought the last half hour or so was kind of a slog, and could have used some editing in general. But the first 2/3 or so are excellent.

The "I am sorry?" thing is actually Von Sydow apologizing to all of us for having to be in the movie. It's okay, Max. We understand. Once you've played chess with Death, I mean, what else is there to do?

It's gotten a bit of hype. I've seen ads for it on like ESPN, I think. A few people I wouldn't expect have expressed interest in watching it. It will probably get pretty good premiere numbers, but if they can maintain it is a different question.

It's hard for me to think that we could have another show at that level, but I think since we have Milch telling some relatively grounded stories, it's very very possible that this will end up in that canon.
