This is my first comment on Reign since I caught up to the current episode (yay!) and I agree with you whole-heartedly. Having binge-watched the first season and change over the past five or six weeks, the tonal shift is even more apparent to me. The "sex diary" story looked promising for about two seconds (silly, but

I have mixed feelings about the dad situation - I agree with you partly, it made no sense for him to give a half-hearted invite to the Yukon (he really could have sold it a lot better) and then when Beth wasn't over the moon about it, sic DSS on her ass.  But as a parent myself, I can also see him thinking, well,

He was also the suspicious vice principal and the caveman on Disney Channel's underrated "Phil of the Future"…I always enjoy that guy when he pops up.

@avclub-49e71059dc5abc94cb2c4f63195fd221:disqus Yeah, that arrest was really weird.  No one could accuse Manny of being a mental giant (not just the Delorean, but seriously, tossing Raquel an envelope full of cash right in front of multiple coworkers AND THEIR BOSS' OFFICE DOOR?) but I still can't imagine him framing

The Infinite Jest murder could come between Kal and Chris because Chris was IJ's lawyer, and IJ's family could hire him for a wrongful death suit.

I also think it was definitely his sister…my theory with the kiss is that she has some kind of deep-seated mental troubles that cause her to interpret/react to any expression of affection as if it's a romantic overture, even when it's completely inappropriate.  The larger implication being that Scienetics hasn't been

What I found weird was how casual the Infinite Jest payoff was compared to Tariq - with Tariq, it was all official and in a conference room and I'm pretty sure they like signed a contract or something, but with IJ, Rook just handed him a duffel bag of money on his doorstep (in broad daylight) and and the

I buy it too, I was thinking at the time that it probably wasn't him anyway (even if he hadn't been out of commission).  But how cool if it was just supposed to be him doing standup and then they brought in the suit element. Nick doing standup at bar mitzvahs is vaguely humiliating; adding the bunny suit is just a

That movie died for me when I realized that Nicole Kidman was doing a British accent in a movie that was seemingly supposed to be a giant love poem to Australia.

This has got to be the last episode.  There's no way the show could go on after this, and it doesn't need to.  I'm sad it's over, but I also feel satisfied.

I know very little about the military, but is it really that much of a secret where you're being deployed unless you're in some sort of covert operation?  I tangentially know a few people whose husbands are deployed, and I think they at least know what country they're in.
