How about Farscape? It's not perfect, but it's funny and has muppets.

I really loved Brenda, even when she was at her worst (like in this stretch of episodes). But liking her character doesn't change the fact that she was on a downward spiral and was deliberately sabotaging everything of value in her life.

The final scene of this episode, with Nate driving down the road on his
new bike and Don't Fear (the Reaper) playing, is supposed to be one of
those "grab life by the balls" kinda moments. But it is also, in a very
real way, about Nate's death wish as well.

At least they filmed the episode in Seattle. Most shows film in Vancouver then paste the Space Needle into the background. I was driving through South Seattle the other week and I saw the funeral home where Nate and Claire pick up Mr. Mossback.
