I agree. The first time I saw the makeup, it didn't register. Probably because the disguise makeup is so pale and kinda jaundiced. After she was back on Moya, the light-bulb clicked on and I thought "How clever!". Giving her a darker , more reddish skin tone would have made for a harder contrast with her usual…

I think the problem with the weird alien performances in previous episodes is that they're very one-note (rest and revitaliiiiize). Gigi's performance in this one episode has a huge emotional range. She's terrified, desperate, scary, sexy, sexy-scary, sexy-scared, sexy-sexy, annoyed, tired, etc.
