They definitely left the door open for debate with Shane's crazy-guy behavior over the course of the episode (more head-slapping, grunting, twitching than usual).

Seemed like there was a hint that Rick might already know, back when he went to the trouble of putting an extra bullet in the head of the fat guy in the bar.

I bet the series is going to take a massive detour from the comics when Rick gets eaten next week and T-Dog gets to deliver the big "Walking Dead" speech. Only it'll be an unspoken speech given in one, long, meaningful stare at everyone by T-Dog.

There was a decent CGI animated film, but it wasn't a reboot. It followed the continuity of some later animated series, as there were characters I wasn't familiar with, and April and Casey were neither really the comic, movie, or original cartoon versions.
