"Boo hoo hoo a woman didn't give a man extra respect just because he was a man boo hoo hoo ladies made decisions based on her own judgement and acted an agent in their own stories boo hoo hoo"-gizmo

Xanatos, I expect so much more from you

His immediate goal at the beginning was not only to get food for himself, but also for those who couldn't get food for themselves, folks like tree-man. He grows, but continues to try to fix all his problems with violence(see his beating up Vaatu/dying on the battle field)

How did Wan change exactly? He figured out how to beat up the bad guy, kicked the problem of the bad guy down the road for someone else to deal with, then continued fighting until he died in war.

It is a really menacing use of his power, but it's totally in line with the show. Unless you use a portal(or I guess are dragged down with a spirit library) only your spirit enters the spirit world, and as we've seen, Unalaq has a lot of power over spirits.

I'm not saying that any faults one find with the show or with Korra are misogynistic, but rather that misogyny does seem to inform many(not all certainly) of the complaints about both the character and the show.

Yo, dude has control over spirits, and Korra and Jinora's spirits are in the spirit world while Unalaq is there bodily. He's not talking about damning, never mentioned damning, he is just able to use his control over spiritsto do irreparable damage to Jinora's spirit, which is both deeply creepy and totally in line

"Boo hoo hoo, Korra's a terrible character, growing, being a lady, being irritating, boo hoo hoo, why can't there be more cool dude characters on the teevee, boo hoo hoo."
