The only station I listen to where I really get any 60s music is Little Steven's Underground Garage, and that's an XM station (and a damn good one at that). Most of the other stations in my market (Orlando) have abandoned the decade entirely.

On the radio, I honestly don't hear that much Beatles being played anymore. Zeppelin and Queen, sure, but you don't hear much other than "Hey Jude," at least where I live.

The Great Beauty should be on this list somewhere.

Incredible song, incredible album. I didn't quite "get" James Blake when his first album came out, but holy crap did he grow on me. In the months after its come out, Overgrown has slowly become one of my favorite albums from this year.

Retrograde, by James Blake. Without a doubt. And suddenly, I'm hit!

AV Club, I love you, but you're bringing me down.

That's kind of great. Still doesn't make up for that song, but it's certainly a cool thing to put on your resume.

I challenged myself to think of Disney related band names the other day. I came up with:

"Born too Late" — Dent May
"Under Attack"— Slow Knights
"Can You Feel It"— Mr. Fingers
"Latch"— Disclosure
"Golden Slumbers"— The Beatles

Well, the test results came back. I definitely have to catch up more before I can discuss the finale.

My standard "let's get someone into the Beatles" playlist:

Disclosure: Grab Her!
Dent May— Born too Late
The Love Language— Hi Life
Boozoo Bajou — Under My Sensei (Thievery Corporation Remix)
King Khan & the Shrines— Luckiest Man

In a related note, I've slowly progressed from being a casual fan of Taco Bell to being the guy that has to get the new Doritos Locos taco on the first day it's out. I've…lost control of my life.

In my mind, it's always Mick Jagger. "Under my dome, got the sweetest little, cat of a water shortage…"

Hell yes. It's been my driving to work album for a bit now, and now. I find it difficult not to speed. Also difficult: not dancing along to every track.

Uh huh, honey.

Though I like their latest release a lot, I still prefer Contra.

Recently, I've taken a liking to a drink called "The Fitzgerald." http://12bottlebar.com/2010… I use that recipe, but with lime juice instead of lemon. It's heavenly.

If TV Shows were food, "The Newsroom" would be like the salads at The Cheesecake Factory—You think it's good, but it's really just the same crap as always.
