I have read it to my kids twice. The first time at my suggestion, the second time at their insistence.

It was probably bound to happen — and Pete even called it out in the interview — but the Hodgman pairing led to a truly jaw-dropping list of things Pete was unaware of. Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy springs to mind, but I seem to recall there were about four or five other major ones. I love Pete, and this is one…
Can I just say that lately I love how worked up Scott Aukerman gets during the stamps.com promo spots.
I would just like to say that I find Pete Holmes delightful. This comments section is normally the place where people go off on how unbearable they find him, so I just thought I'd start things going in the opposite direction for a change.
Did anyone listen to to Paul F Tompkins on Stop Podcasting Yourself? A pretty delightful episode, containing one totally perfect joke by Graham (during a discussion of synagogues and go-karting he said "Let my people go-kart") that somehow got lost in the shuffle and not properly appreciated. Well done to him for not…
Did anyone buy the first edition of You Made It Movies? I do like the idea of a kind of alternate DVD audio commentary track, and I'm especially looking forward to hearing There WIll Be Blood with Holmes talking to Paul F Tompkins (who is in the movie).

The bank of ETs stuff was fantastic — I love Howard's speculation that 'people would use it,' if it had the same interest rates, the same hours, etc.

Have recently discovered Answer Me This, which is a lovely podcast — two hosts with great chemistry and very quick wits, Since I live in the UK, it is nice to be reminded that not ALL funny podcasts originate from North America.

The thing I always think about is how amazing it would have been to be a part of the original Muppets crew, or the creation of Sesame Street. Everyone involved seemed like such a fascinating, kind, creative person (i.e. stoner), and I just think it would have been a fantastic group of people to be around. The…

I agree — it's not so much that he has a bad singing voice (it's OK) but rather that he gets on these jags where he just sings part of a bad 80s song and then that reminds him of another bad 80s song and so he sings a bit of that, etc.

After last week's mindblowing Mental Illness Happy Hour episode (Nadereh the Iranian Marxist revolutionary) everything I listened to this week felt a bit…flat.

For me it's the screechy shrillness of Bazelon's voice that makes the show hard to listen to, for me. She makes some pretty good points, but for whatever reason I just have this nails-on-a-chalkboard response to her actual voice. Add to this the fact that she is quite interrupt-y, so I spend the whole episode in a…
