To be fair, there actually were scrappy Russians (and Koreans) at Omaha Beach in the "Ost" battalions  Some of them even fragged their officers before surrendering.

That's not current scholarship's point of view. Sea Lion was pretty much a joke, as the German army was not familiar at all with amphibious operations.
