Sorry, I missed page 3! Nice writeup. I will have to pore through my old vinyl as I know thee are some obscurities that I have forgotten about.

I concur with other posters on excluding Heat being a mistake; great to see Quiz Show though as I was afraid it had been forgotten in the Coen and Tarantino lust.

Nothing about the post-REM southern power pop explosion beyond Don Dixon? At least the Db's ought to get a mention and Let's Active might qualify too. Also, if you ever see The Accelerators album "Leave My Heart", but it on the spot.

Just got this and while the sounds is great and the extra CDs are plus-plus, I was hoping for something in the way of a booklet with some additional pics. Still, if you like Roxy Music it probably should be on your list.

Or an anti-drug song (That Smell). I defy .38 Special or the Outlaws to pull of Curtis Loew too. Yes, there's a lot of shit-kickin' (especially that later albums), but a surprisingly large amount of actual music (as opposed to RAWK) that they recorded.

Another group that didn't make it at Motown but took off later. Great track; written by Wonder/Wright as well.
