Trailers, oh Trailers
I haven't read the novel, but the trailer for this movie makes it out to be less interesting than it sounds. I had no idea that Rosamund Pike was going to be his third ex, or that he had been accused of murdering Scott Speedman. Now I have no desire to see this movie, but I'll definitely have to

Highlander or Xena
Both Highlander the Series and Xena: Warrior Princess were in heavy rotation in the lounge of my sophomore year dorm, and we loved the hell out of how terrible they were. They were appointment viewing for us, but I tried breaking out Highlander on Netflix instant for old times' sake, and…whew…

My favorite Troi
My favorite Troi memory comes in Night Terrors is the scene where she's flying, and the camera is below her. The last time it was on, my friend sent me a picture of him watching it, with only the word "TAINT."

When I was a 8 year old kid in comic book stores, I had heard of Michael Eisner, and so I assumed there WAS a Disney connection. I confused Roy Disney into the mix, and so I thought Will Eisner was some forgotten Disney brother, and his son Michael was now in charge.

And as Norah's friend drunkenly showing off her ass in Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.

The crossword
I think the crossword was actually Ted's favorite. It was a little confusing, because future Ted said something to the effect of "kids, you know how much your dad loves his crossword."

I don't think a show exemplifies this better than the Sopranos, really. The pilot was absolutely perfect, and though the rest of the first season was spectacular, I think it was still all downhill from there.

Marshall and Lily's Daughter…
Was anybody else impressed/aroused at how much their daughter looked like she could have been Alyson Hannigan's daughter of the future? Also, shotgun toting Robin was quite hot…all in all, a good night for pervs.

I don't like the term, but only because my students see the word "homo" in Latin, and they insist it means gay, not man/person.

Yeah, he played Levi Johnston last September at the Kennedy Center, and he talked about this collaboration then. I was always wondering if that was actually going to happen…and here it is!

I can't put my finger on it…
but I totally can, and something about this review really rubs me the wrong way. Maybe it's the writing style itself — from the very first sentence, I was stumbling over the words. Amongst? And would a contraction kill you? There are numerous times when you could have made your point

"Than you shall have it" …

Nurse Betty
I can't argue that the film would probably benefit from more screen time for Chris Rock and Morgan Freeman, but I have a hard time finding the film as a whole a failure. You're right, it goes off the rails, but when you're dealing with an emotionally abused woman creating alternate realities brought on

I'm glad there's plenty of outrage about both the Fifth Element and Sam Rockwell. Where do you find these critics, just hanging out at Bus Depots? Because I can hang out at Bus Depots with the best of them.

I want to play Devil's Advocate for the snooker sketch on Mitchell and Webb—-I thought it was god awful the first 20 times or so, but then it came back around again, and I spit up my drink when Park started his comment with "that's a bad miss."

Charging $100 less, that is.

It's not the blu-ray, they're just repackaging last year's complete series in a smaller box and charging $100 on the list price.

Ow, my groin
My dad and I always sit down to watch the George C. Scott A Christmas Carol while the family tree is going up every year. As someone else said, we think it's the best version that's been produced. It's a ritual, though, and I almost wish we didn't have it on DVD—I sort of miss the old IBM commercials on

Are we really going to have this "which season is best" discussion of the Wire again? Come on, everybody has their own favorites, and nobody is exactly right.

Is that Erin on the table? I missed her in costume last night, but I concur—Ellie Kemper is becoming my favorite person alive. I could see Erin had something on the white board, but I couldn't read it last night. Oh, how I tried…
