I'm totally looking forward to the Python/DS9 convergence.

A show about war made during wartime is resonant with current events? I'm shocked, shocked. Doesn't everybody know that all the best stories are created in a vacuum from the culture that produced them?
I kind of liked the finale, since, in the end, it was the final statement on the idea that even our most hated enemies are human. At the beginning of the show, we're encouraged to think of the Colonials as "us" and the Cylons as "them", but gradually that mask is peeled away, until in Daybreak it's basically…
Same, same. Even though, in the end, I kind of disagreed with him about the finale (I'm one of the dreaded Daybreak-likers), his recaps did so much to illuminate the nuances and themes of the show for me the first time I watched it.
