I have to say the Chehon save over Daniel is looking more and more the right choice.

I agree that there has been no outstanding choreo so far. I just wonder if it is because we have choreographers doing two routines per show. Nappytabs for example have been unspectacular and I find myself yearning for more hard hitting moves and attitude.

Actually it would be consistent with the elimination of the results show, there being no longer eliminations. Everything else remains the same.

She's my favorite too and I'm a little upset that she has not been stretched in any way. Would be interesting to see if she can pull off a deep emotional piece. So far she's been loud and fun.

Looking at the order of appearance it seems the pairs also dance in order of the numbers they drew. Perhaps if you go over last year's dances you might be able to work out if it indeed was that Melanie and Marko drew high enough numbers to get to choose contemp.

No statue routine?

Yes. I thought he danced well, and clearly he thought so too.

Well I was watching Lindsay. I felt that she was able to match the intensity that Cole brought and that made the paso that much more powerful.

the moment
The judges told Caitlyn "This was your moment" after that routine with Marko, who had a moment with that forgiveness routine. Sasha had the wall tonight to let the emotion come through. Melanie had several. Although one must give credit to the dancer for grabbing those moments I cannot think of any routine

I thought she was a good judge too - not so much in the critiquing, though in the areas where she knew her stuff she certainly strutted them - but in sharing her response to the dances with the dancers. Different from those who brought flamboyance, but good.

For me it has been Melanie since the auditions. Somehow she has a way of giving herself to the music and the dance, beyond great technique. Something you can see even in that brief audition performance. Couldn't keep my eyes off her even when she's dancing with Sasha. Amazingly she's still girly and bubbly in person.
