You just described my afternoon after getting off of work.

Very enjoyable. The New Life was an equally excellent follow-up, as well.

Was at the show last night in Asheville and they were great.

Don't forget about Panda Bear and Viet Cong. Both January releases but both still near the top for me for AOTY.

Last week, someone on here complained about her wearing those short-shorts, and I was like…Why?

I had to log in just to second this.

Great might be a strong word, but considering the cultural significance Transatlanticism had (thank you, Seth Cohen, for your tireless efforts), I'd say that's something, however artificially.

Agreed on the Devotion love - it doesn't get enough attention. Teen Dream is obviously fantastic, but Bloom felt overproduced and "big for the sake of being big", if that makes sense — too much going on yet nothing standing out.

ETA: Okay, eating my words, because I'm kinda into this now.

I know. And I tried several times! But I took my inability to save her as a sign and opted for a revenge play-through.

Running through Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Director's Cut) for the first time. Feels fitting that this article is about music, as the start screen of DE:HR has one of the best themes ever. I usually don't press start right away so I can listen and get myself immersed in the mood of the game.

I'm hoping this is a grower. After the first couple of listens, there were some excellent bits to be sure, but it felt like a lot of the tracks were indistinguishable. I'm not opposed to a change in sound, but I'm missing the all-out psych-fest of an "Apocalypse Dreams".

I also loved his "Fuck You", complete with finger pointing right in the kid's face. Hilarious.

Yeah, that's a good way of looking at it. You're right that once he's in league with the Red God that, unless he makes a clean and defiant break, he is at least indirectly responsible for what happens. And maybe that is more how it will play out in the book.

I thought that was just some back-peddling shit they did in regards to the backlash. Because the way the scene was written and shot suggests otherwise.

I understand Martin's intent. Perhaps I worded it poorly. I just meant how is he going to execute it. Differently, I have to assume, in case Stannis left word before he left the Wall. In which case, I'll eat my words.

Book Stuff:

Jaime and Bronn dressed as Dornish guards was like a bad buddy-comedy and I genuinely felt embarrassed for both the show and myself.

This episode wasn't very good. This show isn't very good anymore. Am I the only one?
