The writing doesn't get enough credit. There's an episode where Beaver gets in trouble at school and brings a note home from his teacher. Instead of giving it to his mom he and Wally write a fake note to take back to his teacher. They end it by writing, "I have beaten him. His father has beaten him. We are very sorry."

Chicago Code just made me want to go back and watch the Shield. It had some potential, though. My wife's father was an extra on the show so it was always fun to try and spot him in the background.
