Yeah, the re-descriptions are obnoxious.

Imminent death not bad enough?
It never occurred to me that Ben and Locke were lying about how bad it was on the island after the O6 left, because things seemed quite terrifyingly horrible to me. Constant skips through time, killer headaches, and bloody noses that indicate an imminent, painful death.
