I think it would've been a solid finale, but you (and Todd) are right—this opens any number of great doors for season four, this being by far the most intriguing.

Watching Damon get so broken up over having to watch his friend die—for the second time—was so wrenching. Kudos to Ian Somerhalder and Matt Davis for making me feel so many feelings, over and over again.

I was blown away by him here. Theon's my favorite character and I had my doubts about Allen last season, but he's doing the character justice and then some now.
I recommend this all the time to everyone in the world, but if you haven't heard the commentary Hempstead-Wright, Maisie Williams, and Sophie Turner did for season one (I think it's episode three), hear it immediately! Such a charming and insightful group, more so than some of the older performers.
