Good old Napoleon Dynamite…
Oh, wait you're not talking about Elvis Costello's alter-alter-ego? Oh. The movie. Umm this film was interesting before it was latched onto as a faux-cult film. You know, the kind where only the "edgy" kids like it and they buy all the associated shite at Hot Topic. It's not a well

Tell
Balgeary Balgury is dead

Count me in as a fan. My biggest gripe though is that his lyrics make very little sense. There's meaning there but the grammar doesn't line up. I really like both Phantom Punch and Duper Sessions, even if Duper is a little twee at times.

It's weird how attached Mignola is to LJ— won't let him be in the Hellboy flicks. Tis a pity. Oh well.

I really like Loeb/Sale's other Marvel ventures actually and I own them (Spider-Man Blue, Daredevil Yellow) but this one seemed really weak-sauce. All their DC stuff is top-notch too. Too bad about Loeb fucking up Ultimates!

Bono ZING!

Easy money!
Pour that everloving stuff down on Nick Cave!

BANGER IN THE MOUTH!

Greetings, Starfighter.
You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the Frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan Armada…

Why all the Abyss hate? It has better acting and writing than any of his other films.

I like Event Horizon and that trailer had nothing to do with Event Horizon. Looked like a buncha hunter-killers thrown into the jungle along with some load lifters for good measure. Recycle much, Cameron?

Cocaine and milk era David Bowie and Rip Torn can both be seen in The Man Who Fell to Earth. Along with some nice boobies and bush too, but be warned that you won't be able to watch Rip Torn in any films after for fear of having to see his peen again. Bowie's got that androgynous thing going on still and it's kinda

It's hot in the hot tub. Good gawd.

I seem to recall
a parody of Siskel and Ebert on Tiny Toon Adventure— I think they were Hisskill and Eggbert and I'd imagine that Exec. Producer Spielberg took some delight in that sort of thing.

Yeah. The Handshake is the best song on Oracular Spectacular. No doubt about it.

Don't forget
Scott Dracula erm I mean Bakula…

I don't care if the movie is worth a damn…
The digital cameras they shot it on ruin the period the film is attempting to portray. This was an extremely disappointing creative choice on Mann's part for a movie like this. The 1930s just do not look like 30 FPS HD video. I don't want to sound like a luddite here

Carpenter was cool because he rolled his own. I hope he still gets good kickbacks whenever some schmo buys a Halloween ringtone.

Props to Mothersbaugh. He even did a wicked good job on the Rugrats music.

Do I really have to be the first to mention…
Michael Giacchino? He is a god amongst men! Incredibles, Ratatouille, Up, Star Trek. The guy is on fire.
