I always loved his reaction when he was the first to realise about Monica and Chandler being together.
Huh? Everyone bar Daphne (and maybe Roz?) is aware of it from the very start.
Not seen it, but if you have the option, I'd say go for it.
They did do it with everything though before a certain point it seems - even their OK Computer review doesn't appear on the site anymore.
*shrugs* Same thing in the end. I don't share The AV Club tendency to moan about Pitchfork in the comments on any music-related article.
I suspect that's one of their older reviews they've disowned somewhat.
Lynch's films never got their due when they were released? I must have imagined the acclaim and award nominations that many of his films received.
Glad to see Dear Catastrophe Waitress praised, I know some people criticise it, but I'd maybe put it as my second favourite album of theirs. Especially for its opening half.
It's great, and it's on a collection of B-sides etc from 2003-2010 they're putting out next month.
Fantastic documentary, go and see it if you get a chance. Though I'm not sure I'll ever be able to watch the final five minutes or so ever again.
I love Heartthrob too, though out of that list I'd have to pick Godspeed, was my favourite album of last year. And it was just great to have them back.
Choices for favourite album of theirs? I'd say Introspective.
As good as it is I can't say I prefer their cover of Where the Streets Have No Name (I know it's pretty pompous in its original form but I still love it) - their cover of Always on My Mind on the other hand is brilliant. It's so good I can even forgive it for ensuring Fairytale of New York would never be No. 1.
I loved Gossamer, shame it got overlooked somewhat.
When I was a kid, Bart Simpson's Dracula creeped me out a lot, especially the ending (well, the bit before the Peanuts bit anyway). It still creeps me out a little, but that might be just because I tend to get uneasy with anything involving vampires.
Can't wait. Hope there's more songs with Regine on lead vocals this time around as well.
Didn't Lynch mainly win for Wild at Heart (as good as it is) because of the success of the first season of Twin Peaks at the time? Mulholland Drive did win Best Director at Cannes.
The fact it was a massive box office hit just makes it all worse. It's like how I Am Legend missed the whole point of the book and raked in the cash.
The screenplay is credited to Del Toro and Travis Beacham, who was one of seemingly endless writers on Clash of the Titans. It's not like Akiva Goldsman is on board.
