Yeah. I mean an album of cover versions, not sure I'd ever get something like that, but fair enough. An album where you just cover the whole of another album is baffling. I know some band did it with Loveless a few years ago, any other examples?

'Macy Gray slurring and forgetting her way through a quick, semi-coherent spin of her biggest hits.'
I Am Not Afraid of You and I Will Beat Your Ass was the first record of theirs I got. I picked up the rest of their stuff from Painful onwards soon after.
The Prisoners of Love compilation forms a great overview of their career up to 2003. If you were to pick a studio album to start with, I'd say I Can Hear the Heart Beating As one is as good as any. It's brilliant.
I really like Popular Songs (and agreed about More Stars), though I would say it feels a little weird having all three long songs stuck at the end. It flowed better on I Am Not Afraid Of You… when they were at the beginning, middle and end of the album.

Definitely one of the best bands of the last 20-30 years. I've got all their albums since Painful and even the weakest of those (Summer Sun) is pretty good. I'd actually say my second favourite of theirs (behind I Can Hear the Heart Beating As One) is I Am Not Afraid of You and I will Beat Your Ass, and not just for…
Terrible album cover, but can't wait to hear this. Great band and I loved It's Blitz.
'Muffy, meet Adolf. Adolf, eat Muffy!'
I will say I'm disappointed to see The Imposter didn't get a Best Documentary nomination, was probably the best thing I saw at the cinema last year.
It wasn't, and The Lives of Others was a well deserving winner of Best Foreign Film that year.

No I think he does say that, a review of the film I saw mentions the exchange between Gosling and Stone's characters.
Damn, I concede I haven't seen that.
'cast that includes Emma Stone (in the painfully underwritten role of a moll…'
I agree with a reviewer on TV last night who said that though they really like Ryan Gosling, he's in danger of becoming some sort of indie Ken doll at the moment.
Post links to these million billion other bands then. More stuff as good as The Men would be very welcome.
Good news - loved Open Your Heart (though shame they haven't come up with a song title to top Shittin' With the Shah).
Well…er…your comment hurts my brain!
'Wild? I was absolutely livid.'
