About Schmidt and Sideways are brilliant, not seen Citizen Ruth. Thought The Descendants was a little disappointing, it's a drama with elements of comedy whereas his previous films were comedies with elements of drama, and seemed to work a lot better.

That doesn't explain why, aside from Insomnia, most of her roles outside of Boys Don't Cry and Million Dollar Baby have been in not very good films. I guess I was more looking at the quality of her films rather than how 'big' they were.

Five years? You can argue since American Beauty the films he's been in have been almost all average at best, dreadful at worst.
