his emotions run the gamut from annoyed to confused.

hey, some of them have helpful makeup tips or show you how to exercise in sexy ways!

him and things like the Kardashians are actually managed by very astute media folks. maybe this sort of media manipulation was always going on but with things like Twitter and celebrity channels like E! there's an entire other industry being built by fame-whores.

I feel like Kutcher is an ego pioneer. He's taking his ego to places no one else has. Not only is he obsessed with being in the media at all times, he wants to editorialize his presence at the same time. That's like an author writing their own reviews. Maybe he's the George Bernard Shaw of our times.

it's called a nonviolent protest. Worked for the Civil Rights movement.

Ugh, just dumb. The OWS folks just want the guys running Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan to play by the rules and be held accountable like the rest of us. It's not class or subclass warfare. It's a desire to see justice served against criminals.

Because Breaking Bad is stuck in my brain, I have to mention that the early escapades of Walt and Jesse are very Laurel and Hardy like to me. With Walt being the frustrated, overly dignified authority and Jesse being the screwup that undermines Walt's aims. The time when they were trapped in the desert is a good

I know you're just trolling, but Chaplin and Keaton made loads of movies that are purely slapstick and not at all sentimental or attempts at "art". They also made incredible, artistic movies that had emotion and sentiment in them.
Laural and Hardy are not emotional at all. They are slapstick funny.

I dunno. I think he gets funnier with every movie. I thought the dialog in Days in Heaven was hilarious ("Nobody's perfect. There was never a perfect person around. You just have half-angel and half-devil in you."), but some of the zingers in Tree of Life are priceless: "Do good to them. Wonder. Hope." It's like

I agree. I liked the old school fx (until the dinos showed up) but the coming of age story was comical.

if this is you not angry….

whisper: "brother, father…mother…can I make Crank III?"

NOT WITH MY TAX MONEY, BARRY!

- you're right about there being no way to overcome the bad dialog. It must be tough on the actors to have to go on and on about dumb things like "we should let our son live because he remembered the deer!'. He's your son. You don't have to justify wanting him to live, zombie hellscape or not.
- the only thing I didn't

you're right, and I forgot the anti-corporate message of a movie about tornadoes.

I wear a lot of hats. And gloves.

also, he needed the money.

wait, did Bob Dylan and Elvis never give any money to charity either?

nonsense. Elvis hips saved America from misery.

But it's not their best, either. You could nominate any of their early records up to and including The Unforgettable Fire. After that, as much as like 'em. their albums go downhill and are inconsistent. Still, Achtung Baby is probably their last really good record.
