As one of 'teh gayz', I personally don't mind the casual tossing of the word dyke. It's all about the context in which it's used. I might be the wrong person to answer though; I'm rarely offended by anything even when something is clearly offensive. Also, I've never had any lgbt-type words thrown at me in any context.
