Actually it goes even further than that. MOS (or someone claiming to be him) says Nochimson actually told him that Chase told her Tony didn't die years ago. Just to cut and paste the post so I don't misquote it (I love this debate!):

Someone claiming to be the famous "Master of Sopranos" at Hitfix/Sepinwalls site is calling out the author of the piece. He says she wrote a piece in a Sopranos compilation book years ago (I actually have it, it's called The Sopranos Essential Reader) where she stated her opinion that Tony is alive. He also claims

Bullshit. Louie isn't saying TMZ doesn't have the right to do it, he's saying that they SHOULDN'T do it because it's in poor taste and because the guy has a family. It's not about freedom of speech but about plain old ethics. What if a video of a loved one of yours dying was all over the internet?

That could have worked to but I don't like the idea of Trash detonating it himself to kill Flagg because that would go completely against what King had set up.

I think people are too hard on the ending. Trashcan is on the periphery of the entire novel seeking out that nuke. Throughout the novel, many in Flagg's camp think about desertion leading to that guy to speak up at the public execution at the end. So Flagg does that electricity thing out of his fingers (Emperor

F-ck Hollywood. This has no chance of being good with just one film. If IT can be two films, then The Stand could be at least two, if not three. And who the hell is Josh Boone?

L.A. Confidential. Although the book is pretty damn good too.

You know, there was an article about Shawshank on the site a week or two ago and all of these hipster, douchey, pretentious idiots (who were probably 5 when the film was released) commenting how horrible the film is.

Just your mention of the show triggered the theme song in my head. Now it's stuck there for at least a few hours.

I think Marchand's death actually turned out to be a great thing for the show as it freed up Chase to go in more interesting directions. The third season was written to be largely about Tony being forced to reconcile with Livia so as to prevent her from testifying against him regarding the stolen Scatino plane

Holy shit, you just brought back memories. I think that was my first understanding of what death was. The poor Chief, he was such a loveable, morbidly obese man. I still remember being sad the following season when he was no longer in the opening credits.

And Spanky McFarlane did a cameo on Cheers. Coincidence?

"And Mom was not….comfortable with her beauty"
"But that's what made her more beautiful"

I vaguely remember that. So it was set in a bar? Or am I thinking of Frank's Place?

God, that episode of the Sopranos gets me nostalgic for the old days. Great episode and great interactions between Junior and Tony in that scene posted:

SPIRIT SPIRIT
SOME PEOPLE FEAR IT
SPIRIT SPIRIT
SOME PEOPLE WON'T GO NEAR IT

Underrated movie. Hysterical at times. It also features one of Chris Farley's best (if not his best) performances. And of course, the classic rape scene!

He's was also great as the D.A. in Carlito's Way.

Holy shit. McConaughey would make a PERFECT Randall Flagg.
