Holy shit, "That was discussed in depth last week" may be the funniest thing I have ever read.

Rebuttal: Seahawks vs. Broncos should be a pretty damn good game!
Three episodes in and I'm feeling the same way (and I really feel both the David Chase and David Lynch vibe and intelligence in this thing). It takes me an hour or so to recover after watching these episodes. I can't believe HBO is making us wait two weeks for the next episode.
That is a real shame and I suspected that Russell ruined what could have been a true American epic with his idiocy.
Uh oh!
The whole movie was a cartoon.
Exactly.
Scorsese and Shrader have said the dream interpretation is wrong. Why do people still insist on arguing for it? It's like people still trying to argue that Tony Soprano is still alive.
Now the end of King of Comedy, that is a whole different story.
Boy, I never interpreted that shot to be about "embarrassment" at all. I always thought (and have read the same theory elsewhere) that Scorsese pulls away because showing Travis's reaction to being rejected would just not do justice to it at all. The pain of rejection is so universal, and so "intangible" that it…
I think the people who think Wolf glorifies its subjects are idiots and I generally like the film a lot. However, Scorsese giving the real Belfort a cameo really pissed me off (especially putting it in the pivotal ending scene). Have a little respect for the victims!
It's not perfect but this one of my Scorsese faves. It's really underrated and was sort of swallowed up by many of the great and innovative films in 1999. It makes me nostalgic for the pre-Dicaprio Scorsese days when his films were never considered a box office draw. This film has a great lead performance by Cage…
Holy Moly! This is a great find. Thank you. I love the way Robin says her "career is soaring." I thought she was pretty much done by 1986.
The scene from "Nebraska" where the brothers try to steal the compressor HAS to be on this list. One of the funniest scenes I have seen in years.
As an 80's kid, listening and watching that opening credits today brings a tear to my eye. It's also sad that Robert Culp recently passed away (that's how you know you're getting old, when your 80's icons that you watched as a kid all start passing away). Also, Connie Selleca was absolutely STUNNING. And I never…
We are. But the movies now aren't nearly as funny.
She was SO hot in Summer School, another underrated 80's comedy gem!
"How can you ever get tired of that ass Takashi?"
"Wait - would you rather live in the ascendancy of a civilization or during its decline?"
There has to be some mention of James Cromwell as Gilbert's nerd father. Who knew that such a nerd would become the ultimate bad-ass in L.A. Confidential.
Oh…man. Now I got that awesome tune in my head that Poindexter does on his violin!
