I had literally never heard that "hit" or about Tonic before now. Was it a hyper localised American thing? Maybe one of the very few 90s exports that never made it overseas?

I just love this show for giving Snuff Box fans more Rich Fulcher.
Fix your TV, you probably have in-store demo mode still on.
Had warm fuzzies at the Stephen chant. I've missed the bastard.
I was dry heaving through the first part of the JEB! (in precisely the same cadence as Snuff Box' FUCK!) interview where he was all polit-icky.
Seriously? That's was 102% classic Colbert Report and was exactly the point where I breathed a heavy sigh of relief.

Perfect description. That was a fantastic gig. Especially for us fans who were too young to catch Freddie in concert.
AVClub contrarians are a special breed. You should see the comments on anything Apple related.
Their web real time coverage in Ukraine as Russia invaded Crimea was spectacular and harrowing to follow. Top notch work. Also their Killing Cancer special should be required viewing (especially since their regular show is far too often bleak and depressing).
Most perfect use of Jack Black since his Drunk History Orson Welles.
Is it really so hard to google these things? Jobs withheld the bonus he got from Atari (for Woz's design using as few chips as possible for Breakout), and split the agreed upon fee ($700) with Woz. Dick move for sure, but not outside of their original agreement.
I say this as a person who used a Commodore 64 to learn programming. 99.9% of the C64s sold were used as game consoles.
Kutcher wasn't what was wrong with 2013 Jobs. He actually did a fine job, in addition to nailing the look of course. The script and direction was just so excruciatingly dull, rethreading what Pirates of Silicon Valley had done much better before.
What's your preferred term then? Personally I like "well rested".
People are complex beings of conflicting emotions. It seems both parties have been trying to ignore the issue for a very long time, and avoidance sets in as a coping mechanism. Now with the silt stirred, and spotlight being shone upon the issue, it triggered an introspective reckoning and the need to reconcile was…
Probably his magnum opus once we 20/20 it in a few years. Chronic and 2001 spawned some timeless tracks, but they both contained a lot of forgettable dreck. Compton is straight fire through and through (minus the unwelcome return of the mid album skit and the trying too hard to shock rape line from an otherwise…
He already covered that on 2001:
"On that note, how hard would it have been for Sam to give her just one extra stab in a more effective location? Or was his intention to leave her alive?"
"Barbie does something and tries to justify it as being good for the town or some crap. "
