Loved this episode. Probably the best in the season. C+?
Leslie was the POTUS.
"He’s too much a robot sidekick here, and not the glorious psychopath he would one day become."
I bet you are fun at parties.
Yes.
I know you did March, so where’s The Prodigy - The Day Is My Enemy (March 30)??
Are we just going to ignore the literal alien in the room?
I’m with you. I consistently laughed throughout this episode. Perhaps because it felt more like a Futurama episode which I far prefer anyway, or perhaps I don’t feel insulted when a show doesn’t adhere to my internalised concept of “what makes The Simpsons The Simpsons”.
Yup. I only come to the AV Club film section to shake my head at their constantly wrong movie reviews. Solid B+, best BM role since Life Aquatic. Sure it’s a by the numbers feel good movie that feels straight out of the 80s, but I guess that sort of earnestness doesn’t sit well with the post-ironic AV Club reviewers.
After obsessing over this series, binge-watching over one night and re-watching over the following the week with everyone I could get to watch, I just knew I had to incorporate this track into my DJ sets somehow. So I made this: https://soundcloud.com/gene…
I love it also: https://soundcloud.com/gene…
I don't want to be the old man yelling at clouds, but where is the surrealism and creativity of popular music these days? I love Lady Gaga and St. Vincent, but it seems the mainstream now is far less accepting as they were of Björk, Beck, or even Laurie Anderson.
Yeah, man. Go back to writing trivia on IMDB.
That's just it. It was a pretty pitch perfect AND creative Clockwork Orange parody/reimagining up until they raid Eyes Wide Shut and then there's a massive free for all. Absolutely nailed this segment in my opinion. Spot on!
Seriously? It's a reference to unnecessary and "wacky" and "cool" 3D updates of old and beloved children's shows like Bob the Builder, Paddington Bear and TNMNT
Jarlsberg is indeed Norwegian (there are no non-Norwegian Jarlsberg cheeses of course), and it is delicious.
Wasn’t referring to your comment, I just wanted to attach my comment to the review to a relevant, high rated comment as to not bury it ;)
But to say "that the editing and digital technique in this scene is just about flawless”?
