I believe that the trailer should go down as one of the all-time greats, but there's no way I'm sitting through the entire movie just to laugh at that guy's O-Face.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. I just did a little research, and it is kind of upsetting that DIJ's fascist imagery isn't as satirical as I assumed. As far as Burzum, though, I don't think it's any secret that he and many others from that scene are horrible people, but that's half the appeal!
If enjoying Burzum and Death In June makes you a fascist, well then "Heil Hitler", I guess.
Probably not going to be one of my favorites, but it was surprisingly low-key and intriguing. Also, that second track is probably the closest Cave has come to sounding like a Bryan Ferry clone since The Boys Next Door, which is pretty entertaining.
Most. Pastoral. Star Wars Movie. EVER!
This backlash is kind of insane. I haven't seen this episode yet, but I watched the first episode of the season, and I'm fairly confident that I would have had no idea that any fundamental change had taken place if it hadn't been constantly publicized online. Maybe it's not quite up to the standards of season 2, but…
And my hands are so clean.

In my experience, political conservatives are usually just as conservative in their music tastes — lots of seventies dad-rock and such. Most of the metal fans I know are, like you said, big 'ol nerds, especially if it's some particularly niche subgenre.
@avclub-98470000dfdbcbccf2c7cd42d80955ae:disqus , right. Not that The Room isn't a masterpiece as well, but some sort of distinction has to be made in terms of intent.
@avclub-98470000dfdbcbccf2c7cd42d80955ae:disqus , This pisses me off so much whenever I show somebody Evil Dead II, Robocop, or, yes, Vampire's Kiss. "HAHA Phallus Chilton and I watched this movie last night, it was so bad it was good…." NO. NOT BAD.
Any movie that can make me forget that I'm watching a Stephen King adaptation is an unmitigated success.
@avclub-22eda830d1051274a2581d6466c06e6c:disqus , the "he's good at surrounding himself with more talented people" is a complaint I've heard directed at Bowie a lot, too.
Thought this song was a Penguin Cafe Orchestra cover for a second…
I'm really impressed that one of the staff already mentioned In on the Killtaker… might not be my favorite Fugazi, but that opening trade-off between Guy and Ian is awesome. The Repeater is great too.

I can't believe it took this long for somebody to make this comment. The first thing I thought when I opened the page was "Oh boy, I hope it's a threesome pic with Mick!!"
