Man, that's awesome! These Cook boys!

Funny that I see people comparing it with Key and Peele. I've always considered that show to be their best Chappelle Show imitation, and I suppose this pilot struck me as a fairly mediocre imitation of the lesser K&P.

Yeah, Frankie is the new (old) Annie. Her overachieving ass would be a better fit at City College. Perhaps they'll do an episode where City College tries to bribe/lure her away! Waaaiiit a minute…

Seriously? You didn't get why Winger texted her?

Parks "highly disappointing" since 2011? Really?!

"It also seems that they're purposefully demonising Jim, which seems odd. Did he seriously get angry at Pam for not telling him about the time that she broke down in tears, which was all because of him acting horribly in the first place?"

Oh yeah, and no mention of the older Asian woman in the salon who told Darryl and Oscar "It doesn't work" as she bumped two index fingers against each other?! Watching with several other people (only one of which watches The Office) and EVERYONE laughed at that line!!

No mention of the hilarious Darryl & Oscar subplot?! Both the sly realization by Darryl that he was on camera and the more overt humor in the salon had me rolling!

"Jordan Garfield (Cody Horn) was the new executive assistant hired by Deangelo Vickers in "The Inner Circle", mainly to prove to the staff that he was not sexist. She had no business background and little experience, leaving her co-workers to assume Deangelo hired her because of her model-level looks." - Wikipedia

Yeah, they did that before.  Dwight sees Pam crying and asks "Who did this to you?" before putting his coat around her shoulders and giving her a hug.

"But if you had told me three or four years ago that this show's endgame would include a love triangle between Jim, Pam, and a boom-mic operator, I might've bailed a while ago."

"Facing her first huge non-Scranton challenge, Pam fled almost immediately and came back to Jim. He isn't doing that and I wonder if she equates love with the kind of . . . settlingness? that she showed before." - Hadn't occurred to me, but that's a pretty brilliant observation.  Bravo!
