I really like Graham Greene, but this wasn't really my favorite. I found myself too annoyed with the main character's girlfriend. Still, there are worse things they could have adapted.

I'm on the fence with the BS report. Some episodes I like, some I just want to punch Simmons. I like ESPN's Baseball Today podcast though.

Yeah, I think In Our Time can't be on the list because its on the radio. I've been working my way through back episodes and its great.

I will also throw my vote in for the Bugle! Although I still pine for Hotties from History, the Bugle is always funny and smart.

Growing up people used to give the local postal worker cookies or some other small gift for the holidays. Rodney should at least get a beer.

My parents didn't approve of me watching violent movies as a kid so the first R rated movie I saw in the theaters was The Bird Cage. It's one of those films that's rated R for having gay people in it. My parents thought it was stupid that it was R rated without violence or sex so they took me.

Just because you like the torture porn doesn't make it not torture porn.

@Mratfink, yeah, I thought it was a little strange to say that Hill and Roday don't have any chemistry together. I guess if you've only seen certain episodes you might think that Shawn is too much of a jerk to Gus (over time you get to see why they're friends). But to say they don't have any chemistry just seems

He's one of my favorite things about Due South. In that first episode he was being pursued by an escaped murderer who he put behind bars. I agree his acting was really excellent for such a tricky role. I think the story goes that he got to be friends with Paul Gross so he tended to be in episodes that Gross wrote,

His St. Crispin's day parody from Due South…
"They have called this day The Eleventh of March! And whom-so-ever of you gets through this day, unless you are shot in the head or somehow slain, you will stand at tiptoe, when e'er you hear the name again. And you will get excited at the name March the Eleventh! We

My family had those Great Muppet Caper glasses. I wonder how much damage they did before I broke them all. Thank goodness my parents got rid of the lead paint on the walls or my sister and I would have really been in trouble.

Weirdly, what bothers me most about Billy (besides its heavy handedness and the idea that misogyny is inside all men which I think is BS) is Angel's speech at the end. He says he wasn't affected by Billy because he's not petty, but Angel is occasionally petty. SPOILERS, I GUESS…He's petty frequently when Spike

"Timmy's down the bloody well!"

He got bit by a cake bug!

Clem! I love him in the ep when he gets invited to Buffy's party, so awesome.

The problem is that a lot of kids chose schools based on how good their football program is, not how good the school is. I looked it up. The good schools still have high graduation rates (Stanford' 89%, Northwestern 92%) but the schools with the best programs often aren't very good at getting people to graduate in

As someone who grew up in Nebraska I feel like I should defend the Wishbone, but I think in a weird way the Wishbone just made Nebraskans invest a bit too much in the defense. I mean that blackshirt merchandise just made people look Raider's-fan-level bloody thirsty. If the offense had been a bit flashier maybe

I think drdarkeny is right about this kind of mystery.

I haven't seen a lot of his newer films/TV stuff, but he's awesome playing a Simon Cowell stand-in in an episode of Psych. He does disdain so well and some of his lines are fantastic.

I own that book too. It's excellent.
