Why doesn't Mythbusters use actual scientists rather than two random SFX guys?

God, the Prestiege pissed me off so damn much when I saw it.

A world without Billy Joel is not a world I wish to live in.

To be fair, Topsy killed a couple of people. They weren't doing it just for fun; that was just a happy accident.

"Mr. Edison has a vacuum tube where his conscience should be."

To make everyone feel old: Megan Banks, the daughter born in Father of the Bride II, would be 19 now.

Did anyone see her interview on the Colbert Report? She was Farah Fawcett crazy!

Kieran also became a really good actor, much better than his elder brother. There really is an interesting kernel of an idea in this, but it would probably be screwed up translating it to the screen.

Now you know how he landed Wendy Peffercorn.

And won, IIRC.

Semi-serious question here: which family pays for a gay wedding? While I know the tradition of the bride side paying has gone out of fashion, it's usually still used in films like this.

I remember this movie because of one joke: Martin's sense of humor test. "What's the difference between a light bulb and a pregnant woman? You can unscrew a light bulb." When I first saw this movie, I had no idea what this meant. Several years later it dawned on me, and I knew I had truly become a man.

No offense. I'm still angry at Troy after I got lost five separate times trying to find an address. It reminds me too much of Youngstown; a former industrial city now mostly kept afloat by a university, and still not quite adjusted to the new reality.

Well, they all involve baby crib design so…maybe?

You're from Troy? My condolences.

I think Jamie Farr's appearances in all three Cannonball Run movies might disqualify him. Tony Shalhoub all the way.

Spoilers!

They do mention it above, but it probably bears repeating. Kasem was probably the best known Arab-America of his generation. Good to see he took that responsibility seriously and tried to expand minds. That couldn't have been easy to do in the 80s, the era of the cartoonish Arab villain.

It cuts like a knife?

After the Black Dossier, it became less of an enjoyable adventure and more of an English major's term paper. And Nemo Heart of Ice was basically an excerpt from the New Traveler's Almanac with illustrations.
