I Want To Be THE Queen

This is so sad.  I felt like we were in the same graduating class together.  I sympathized with Finn's confusion and lack of direction after leaving high school.  I don't even know what to say—Cory, I will miss you.

Same here. I thought they handled the kids' emotions at leaving high school very well.  Finn, in particular.

Yeah, I'd recommend another shot.  Give it 100 pages or so.  Some of the characters are so awful it's hard to keep going, but it's fascinating to see how they all complement each other in the worst way possible.

I tried to schmooze by sympathizing with his hatred of technology, but he was sort of apathetic.

ALL the classics?

Same, I didn't know Prez had a story beyond Sandman.

@avclub-9582a4486a56b2b30d8125d7c0701b8a:disqus I'm pretty sure a bad finale is just called a dead old person

Agreed—I seem to remember that Davos sent Edric off in secret and Stannis only forgave him later.

I don't think it's necessarily out of character for Sansa to be playful, but in the books, she remains intentionally distant from Tyrion throughout their entire marriage.  She was terrified of him.

Yeah, Daenerys was looking pretty white there.

You'd think they teach you that in critic school.

Your use of three dashes is stylistically incorrect.  Dashes are used to offset a short (i.e. one word) clause, while a colon would be better suited to your purpose.

I'm right there with you on the Sansa train, tzero. Speaking of sympathies, though, I'm very curious to see how they portray *SPOILERSPOILERS* Tyrion's murder of Shae.  In the books, I find it to be (disturbingly?) non-judgmental.

I agree. I was initially concerned that TV Davos would be largely irrelevant, considering Stannis is basically a POV character in the show, but he's great.

While I enjoyed the Sansa/Tyrion scene, I'm wasn't sure about that adaptation choice.  Sansa seemed to be enjoying herself too much—they never reached that level of camaraderie.  I might forgive it if Robb's death undid all of that good will, but I don't think that's the case.

Was anyone else expecting Theon to say his name was Kunta Kinte?

*from whence they came

Yeah, news of Harmon's return has bolstered my resolve to get through season 4. I watched a few episodes today, and it's not so bad. As long as you have it open in a background tab and have a couple games of Snake going.

I liked the scene at the beginning where Robb, Cat and everyone eat the Frey's food—I don't think they explained its significance in the show.* But I think it showed how dependent they all were on the Freys' good word.
