How do you picture his character in five or six seasons?  His defining characteristics are the juxtaposition of his gun-loving, grizzled exterior with his knitted-hat wearing softer side.  Would he become less confrontational and more trusting?  And would this make his character less interesting?

Eh, I think she's a bit too spot-on in Safe for it to just be intuition.  She figures out what's wrong with the mute girl, but she also knows that the new mayor of the town poisoned the old one, if I remember correctly.  That seems rather detailed.

Yes.  Of the final five, Blake was the only one who displayed any real acting ability (except for maybe Lily, but she proved too hard to work with).  If there's anything we learned from Damian, it's that no matter how special you are, if you can't act, you'll just get embarrassingly sidelined for 8 episodes.

I agree.  Unique is a one note song- it worked for two episodes, but a longer story arc has the potential to be completely awful.  I'd rather see Lindsay return to fill Lea's shoes.

Late to the party, but I have to chime in on this show.  It just strikes all the right chords.  There's humor, but more than that, there's beauty.  The image of the youths picking up trash while reciting war poetry is funny, but also quite touching.
