Well we did see her dad, right? And from what I remember, he was a pretty fucked up guy.

I'm in agreement that this is one of the best episodes the show has ever done. The show must have realized how lucky it was to have Weedman, and knocked it out of the park by putting her front and centre in the episode.
I just looked up the list of the story writers and one is Eric Kaplan. Jewish guy, so while Lorre may not have been involved, there were Jews involved in the storyline.
It just kinda bugs me that Lorre is Jewish and didn't even address it in a throwaway line. Though I'd also assume that the audience isn't knowledgable about Jewish culture to really care too much one way or another.
Was there a reason that his mother was cremated? Jews don't usually cremate, so it's kind of odd that his mother wouldn't have wanted the whole shiva/quick burial thing that's usual for Jews. I know Howard is pretty secular, but we don't get a sense of what his mother was.
Wes hasn't had a mom since he was 12. It makes sense that he'd latch onto a powerful woman of colour and look to her for advice and forge a connection with her. And she's childless, so it makes sense on her end too to connect with a young guy who clearly needs some parental support.
I agree on the Bonnie thing. It was at the point where we knew she'd do anything for Sam. I could have seen her killing Lila for him without a second thought.
I love finding people like me on the internet. Let's be friends and both never approach guys out of fear of rejection.
I've always loved Craig, and his triggers were great. Wedding. Love. Flowers. Craig.
Even though the wedding was typical impulsive Fiona, it made me really happy to see her happy. I know it'll get fucked up like everything in her life does, but at least she can (hopefully) remember that moment she got married with an elastic band as her wedding ring as a happy one.
Yeah, Glee's treatment of gay characters isn't as great as Ryan Murphy thinks it is. Like, that scissoring line from a couple episodes ago. Really? Was that necessary?
As another gay, I completely agree on what they're doing with PMG, as I now started calling him at this moment. It's boring. We get it. You're gay and masc. And like to sing. Move the fuck on, dude.
The Originals has been so much better to its gay characters. I've given up on VD in terms of that.
The name of this series should be changed to "Girls + Elijah" because he is literally the show right now.
And of course she jumps his bones after he tells her how great she is. Marnie will fuck anyone if they give her a little ounce of the confidence that she is so desperately lacking.
I rewinded immediately. Immediately. TV show dicks are just different than other dicks.
It actually would have been nice for a woman to put her career first … oh well
Also, slipping the piece of gum in his mouth was fantastic.
I don't know why, but Mallory's office looked crazy realistic. Like, I forgot it was animated for a second when it showed the shot of her home office.
