As a male whose wife is addicted to the books, I've watched from the beginning and I've been pleasantly surprised by how much I like it. Maybe not an A, but a solid B.

I always am amused by Ashley Angel from O-Town, if only because he was the voice of Alex in the Playstation remake of Lunar: Silver Star Story. I know this because I watched the making-of CD that came included with the game, because Working Designs went way over the top with their extras those days.

I rewatched it recently and it was pretty funny…. though it was much, much funnier when I was a wee young lad. And it's very, very heavy on the 90s references.

I started watching the series again from episode 1 and did the same thing. It annoyed the hell out of my wife.

I'm reading Vasily Grossman's "Life and Fate", which is a massive Russian tome about WWII. It's very good, but slow going.

They also constantly refer to "Nathansville" in MNIE…

Yeah, I just read the synopsis as well and I'm not sure I'll sleep tonight….

rad, that's one less thing i'll be surprised by if i ever see this movie

you can't go wrong with Prolonging the Magic and Fashion Nugget; those were almost exclusively what I listened to throughout middle school, and they still hold up. I also dig "Cavalcade of Generosity"

I thought that the High Violet songs sounded great, but the new approaches they took with some Boxer songs - Apartment Story and Squalor Victoria in particular - made them awesome.

The only thing that slightly annoys are the few small words I can't figure out. I feel like I'm missing out on a good bit of what's going on because of one or two words I can't parse. Glancing at an online glossary helps, but when I read this on my commute or during my lunch break I don't always have internet

There're quite a few books (Harper-Perennial, mostly) with the P.S. at the end. They generally have reviews or interviews. This one didn't have any interviews, but their Chabon books have some good interviews in 'em.

you're not alone. what a sucker i was.

lady, you need your blood pressure checked something badly.

i still don't quite get them
But I do feel closer to what they're getting at after copious drugs and their set at Bonnaroo.

oof
I'm glad I've already read this in the past year. That way, I won't have to read that piece of shit again.
