Head like a hole.
In a college drama class, we had an assignment to create a performance piece out of two opposite components. A girl in the class did an old fashioned tap routine to Head Like A Hole. It was the only time in my life I've ever enjoyed that song.

Hate to hear this news. I really loved The Basketball Diaries. And of course, People Who Died.

I think maybe they showed that short-haired dancer as a "very special preview" of season 6 in the middle of season 5. I think this because she seemed familiar to me as well.

"Holy shit on a pencil"…?

God dammit, this comment is gonna get buried.
But I need to share—I am SO excited that this is out on DVD now. I got a chance to see it last year when the Castro Theatre in SF had a day-long program called "Animals Attacking Humans!" (or AAH!). They showed 5 films in a row—the only "good" one was JAWS, although DAY

Six years too late. Fail.

In approximately 1987, my best friend Dave named his new puppy Maggie, after the character in "The Last Starfighter." This didn't seem incredibly lame to me at all; we both loved the shit out of the movie when it came out.

Hey, yeah!

Dammit Louis, twenty minutes went by and I just realized I misspelled your name. Let's pretend I was channeling Horsefellow.

@Louis Cannon

I am currently going to school in Burbank, and can attest to its probable effectiveness in terrorist interrogation situations. However, I must also say that I'm pretty sure 'The Price Is Right' is taped at the CBS Studios in the Fairfax area of Los Angeles. It's right by Du-Par's Restaurant, where I once saw Matt

@Ernie T F

Is it even possible for that to be creepier?

This column is an example of why Noel Murray continues to be my favorite writer in the AVC stable. Erudite thinking on a subject near and dear to our hearts, with an open-ended conclusion that invites the conversation to continue. Well done.

No matter how good this show is…
…if they end it by skipping ahead 150,ooo years, I'm going to mail some motherfuckers a letterbomb.

SHE WANTED ME TO PEE ON HER!!!

@smaius

I've talked about it before on this very site, but I'll take another opportunity: "URGH! A Music War" is one of the greatest things in the history of ever. Last year I bought a bootleg DVD of the film from a website that sprung up to answer all the demand (at least 14 people had asked), and got a fragile looking dvr

I don't think "pun" means what you think it means.

OTP, can you provide a source for this true story? The wiki for the film doesn't mention it, and it's got a pretty involved (different) story. I always hoped there'd be a sequel to BB, and held my breath until I was at least 15. Which made puberty all the more exciting.
