All the signs were amusing. I think some comedians have worked these stories out as bits and some haven't, and Leggero presumably hadn't.

Wow, Molly Ringwald really is conceited if she thinks she can use her celebrity to get a short story collection published. Oh. Carry on, then.

That was largely a fake clip show. This has a ton of great lines - 'We need pretzels, repeat, pretzels!', 'You couldn't fool me, etc.', 'Hey, they're giving out free Stridex pads!'

Yeah, I tried to get into D&D with some friends but we were all M:TG guys and it never clicked. I do agree that the financial aspects of M:TG suck, but artificially limiting card supply usually made for a more fun game at least among friends.

Yeah, white had Swords to Plowshares, but it also had Disenchant and Righteousness as low-cost, powerful cards. It really didn't get short shrift. There was an odd balance to the early game - but of course that's once they limited cards like Balance, Channel, Fork, etc.

What's that going to do to prevent theft?

The creature you are thinking of is Lhurgoyf. You are a tad mistaken though - you can't Raise Dead an opponent's creature. You can however, cast Animate Dead on them. Anyway, if there's anywhere I can nitpickingly correct arcana, it's here.

Yeah, that's all fair, and I wouldn't deny an awesome guest either; both the NYC and Bumbershoot #1 episodes rank in my DLM Top 10 even if the Leonard Maltin portions aren't as competitive as I'd like them to be.

Great article - I was away from the game for 10 years but returned as an adult just to play some sealed deck type stuff with a friend in 2008-2009 ish, then played similarly with another friend in 2011 (and last weekend, tbh). One thing that's true is that the Wizards Of The Coast card makers have a much better sense…

Agreed - and I've yet to listen to two of the Bumbershoot episodes - but one thing that has been annoying me at least as a fan of the Leonard Maltin game and trivia in general on these big episodes is the order when he gets a group of 5 - he goes ABCDE, EDCBA when it comes to asking questions. The people in the…

I thought for sure that Woody Allen had already contracted with every current or would-be filmmaker to reserve this title for his final film.
