Manos is like the Satantango of MST3K - part of enjoying it is being able to say you sat through the whole damn thing.

Escape 2000 is probably still my favorite episode.  Servo's rendition of 'Separate Ways' by Journey via riffing on Escape 2000 could be my favorite moment from MST3K.

I had to google it, but I haven't seen 'Young Man's Fancy' in 15 years and still remember the line where a teen boy introduces himself by his full name, then says:  'Call me Alex'  Bots: '…ander Phipps'.  Great stuff.

No mention of the framed Clinton/Gore poster in Louie's apartment?  That might've been my favorite detail.

Chesapeake:  Field conditions were much worse in those days - modern drainage systems have made it a lot safer to play on an MLB field when it's raining.

I mean, the film happens in real time and it's only a passing thunderstorm, as I recall.  They might've kept playing after that.

I still get upset that Jack Warden's character missed the ballgame.  He had great seats!

Anyone who follows NHL hockey in the New York area knows that Trautwig is a pompous, ultra-homer dipshit.  It's every 2 years when the Olympics roll around that people who are paying attention are reminded of that fact.

I think the Bart/Homer interaction is a tad broad, maybe?  I mean, I love this episode, but it's more in the way that I really enjoy certain Family Guy episodes - it has 5 or 6 jokes I really love, but others that I could do without.

This is one of my favorite Simpsons jokes - the idea of 4 10 year old boys sneaking in to a movie theater to see Barton Fink is so sublimely absurd.  The fact that it plays into the recurring 'Bart!' theme is just the cherry on top.

Yeah, fair enough.  I mean, shows like Animaniacs really took this sort of thinking to the next level, I'm still figuring out what some of that shit was referring to 15+ years later.

So you're saying it should've been called Mathlighting and featured a young Bruce Willis lookalike?  All references are the same to children, since children have no references - they're children.
