Anyways, the law doesn't require Zimmerman to justify anything. He can say "self-defense" and leave it at that. The burden of proof is never on the defendant. Only thing he was required to do was enter a guilty or not guilty plea.

Not how it works. There is zero burden of proof for the defense in a criminal trial. You kill someone and say it was self-defense. In the trial, it was completely irrelevant how flimsy his defense is. He's presumed innocent. The only thing that mattered was how flimsy the prosecution's argument was.
