Poor Thora Birch. As I understand it, her overbearing father got her blacklisted from Hollywood (and Broadway). She has tremendous talent, and was still so young when her career fizzled.

Was there ever an explicit reason given for the super-drop in quality between the first season and everything else?

I don't think we ever found out about the two little boys that ran off during the assault on the prison. Granted, I don't think we were supposed to remember them.

yep, also disappointed in that Judith was saved - just makes things a little less "realistic" (aka, babies and young'ins can't be killed).

How long in-story has time passed since Rick woke up from his coma? Hasn't it only been a year?

You can see it in the way down-voting (or "neg-repping" on other forums) is applied. I'm sure Disqus introduced the concept into their system as a way of allowing the forum users to self-police.

It is a new thing. It started (possibly coincidentally) around the same time a lot of the long-time writers left to form their own website. Long-time commentors that used to post interesting and witty statements stopped showing up, and latter-day millenials (folks who never knew a time before the internet) began

eh, I'll admit I'm maybe not using the term "prove" right when it comes to motive. Police have to establish motive in order to justify an arrest - usually that gets sent up the chain as the motive for the prosecution.

Zimmerman has 75 lbs over DMX, and is 13 years younger, plus has taken up training as a boxer.
DMX is 43 and asthmatic. Unless it turns into a non-boxing brawl, it would have ended up as a cardio match between who would be able to last longer.

I know right? We should all ignore evidence, motive, trial-by-jury, presumption of innocence, etc.

ad hominem fallacy. Me saying these politicians who ordered Zimmerman's arrest were race baiters doesn't preclude others from doing the same thing. In this case, people who would be running for re-election abused their authority in order to win votes from the black populous.

His day in court? He got that, buddy.

Well that was weird - disqus ate my reply. Maybe I exceeded the length….
Anyways, the law doesn't require Zimmerman to justify anything. He can say "self-defense" and leave it at that. The burden of proof is never on the defendant. Only thing he was required to do was enter a guilty or not guilty plea.

Not how it works. There is zero burden of proof for the defense in a criminal trial. You kill someone and say it was self-defense. It's the police or prosecutor's job to prove otherwise, you don't have to justify it - the broken nose, laceration on the back of the head, bruises on his shoulders from Trayvon's

Ha ha, that's as funny as a screen door on a submarine!

I wonder if DMX's handlers convinced either him or Feldman to cancel it. The risk-reward difference is way too extreme. If Zimmerman won, DMX's credibility/career would evaporate.

In the trial, it was completely irrelevant how flimsy his defense is. He's presumed innocent. The only thing that mattered was how flimsy the prosecution's argument was.

Ya got that right Pixie. They don't know what to do with Jubilee.
"Ok, let's make her a depowered mutant, since her mutant ability wasn't all that great to begin with."
"Hey, let's make her a techno-powered hero in the New Warriors"
"Did that fail miserably? Screw it, lets just make her a vampire"
"Still not working? Ok,

I'll admit that sure. With the Blue Album and Pinkerton, I could listen to the entire track list as one great experience. Green album and Maladroit had specific songs that I enjoyed, so I'd find myself hitting the "skip" button fairly often on the cd player.

I don't think any comic was more negatively affected by "The New 52" than Superman. I mean, the same event has brought Wonder Woman to new highs, while bringing Supes to new lows.
