Bosh. Mad Men has been a consistently great show that's actually made for adults. Homeland had a lot of promise and many flashes of brilliance but it's devolved into an upscale 24 full of arbitrary twists and turns. There's so many freakin' ways it could have gone genuinely dark and provocative (for one, actually

Obvious choice is not Steve Buscemi. Steve Buscemi is not believable as a white guy cool enough to be married to an attractive African American woman.

Travolta is a case, I suspect, of someone who doesn't have much going on upstairs but who does have a lot of magnetism. When he's in the care of a great director, he can turn in a great performance.

Schaal is the obvious go-to, but I'd like to suggest a dark horse candidate: Fairuza Balk.

The problem inherent with a grade system for reviews (instead of something more abstract like stars or tiny movie cameras or whatever) is that everyone here was a student, many of us were one recently or are one now, and when you're a student getting a "C" is a completely terrible thing. You get Cs in high school,

Hey! It's not fair to imply AMC is having trouble with ALL of their showrunners. They seem to be doing a bang-up job of standing behind Veena Sud. So, you know, obviously they know what they're doing.

I like to give Dante credit and think that scene is in there to be a mindfuck and  interpreted exactly the way Handlen does in the article. I'm not sure that's actually the case, though..

I think it's rated about exactly where it ought to be rated. It's too weird to be a mainstream success, it's not weird enough to be a true cult classic. It's a fun movie with a great sense of humor best stumbled upon by accident and with few expectations.

That little exchange, that calls back to the rainy night with the family in Artie's restaurant, is the most important part of this scene and the most telling regarding Chase's motivations. Tony gave his kid the wisest bit of wisdom a father can pass along to his kid and doesn't even remember it, or seem to even

It's all on Hulu now. Get over there.
