I hate the grading system. We've all been students, some of us recently or still are, and if you've been a student you're going to have a deeply ingrained (and almost entirely fear-based) psychological association with grades. Don't tell anyone paying $10-40,000 a year tuition that a "C" is average, a "C" is failure.

He may have made some cash on writing comedy, but The Best Show  is a non-paying gig (it's on a community radio station.)

I'd actually give you a few bucks to read what you wrote on monks.

Yeah. I'd like you to show me one person here who would turn down a job writing on Monk.

Sheesh, people. It's a LIVE RADIO SHOW, not a podcast.

"Hair Metal" is most certainly a thing, as much as any of these terms are things, and if Motley Crue is not the very definition of "Hair Metal" then I don't know what band possibly could be. Except, sure, Nitro.

You know what song I hate? "Shaving Cream." You keep thinking they're gonna say "shit", but they just sing that "shaving cream" chorus again.

What about this little gem from "Imma Be"?

I loved Inglorious Basterds and hated Django. IB was audacious, ridiculous and fucked with history in such a gleefully fun alternative universe speculative-fiction way, it's just impossible for me to resist its charms. Django felt calculated and pandering, in no small part because there are really no risks being

Justified's a great show and tremendous fun, but it's not all that deep. You could pick up with the new season and figure everything out pretty quick.. No need to binge on the first three if you're wrapped up in something else.

I like to think that if Charlie Brown was sick, Snoopy would suddenly start acting like he cares.

Snoopy is also, really, barely a dog. He evolved into a being that's only nominally canine.

Yeah but Peppermint Patty and Marcie were weirdos who were quite obviously from the shady side of town. I mean, Peppermint Patty was a latch key kid of a single dad… I'll skip the obvious joke about Marcy's sexuality and instead say she's clearly lacking any sort of adult authority figure in her life, the way she's
