He does seem like the only character who has been written with the potential to develop, and I think he represents a different expression of courage and duty than a character like Ward, which played nicely in this episode. Hopefully the writers will pursue it instead of pretending like it never happened…

For me the biggest problem with this show is how uneven it is, not only from week to week but from scene to scene. The dialogue and character beats go from inspired/serviceable to cheesy/cringe-worthy in the space of a few minutes.

Definitely possible. Also agree: why not use someone else?

This was always my mom's rule with soap operas: You had to have a body to be sure, and even then…

You said: "If Ollie hadn't had contact with her after the boat incident, and it just turned out she miraculously survived — I could roll with that."

So, I guess it's a retcon to have Sarah back from the dead, but how big of a retcon is it, really? I can't remember a scene from season one in which Oliver is alone and confirming that his story was true through a flashback about Sarah. From what I can recall, every flashback we see of Sarah's death on the boat is in

He had hipster glasses, too.

Diggle can get it.

The producers may also have wanted to cast someone who was able to perform enough basic level of stunt work to be convincing in the role. Lotz seems to have martial arts and dance experience. I don't know if Jacqueline Wood counts athleticism among her, uh, assets. When drowning in the pilot she just had to look good

Strike Back Origins is pretty fucking intense, but it has none of the tits and ass of later seasons.

I really like this movie when I first saw it. Then I saw the director's cut and realized why film editors make good money doing what they do.

That's a pretty funny coincidence. Yeah, it must have been a regular thing. Chem 194 lecture hall? I also remember it being a very good crowd.

Curious about where you saw it. They did the same thing at UC Davis in 1991, which was the first time I saw that movie. That scene of him cruising around with the big wheel just killed me.

Grumpy old Doctor Who fan says: Put the fucking magic wand, er, screwdriver down and write a fucking well-plotted script, Moffat. Piece of shit…

There isn't much about The Shining that didn't scare the piss out of me, but those two little girls make the top of the list for me.

I was waiting for the descent into ad hominem. You didn't disappoint. Kudos.

You seem hung up on ethnicity, which has absolutely zero to do with my point. My point, once again, is simply this: 80% or more of the Chinese coming out of people's mouths on the show was gibberish. This situation could have been improved by having people who could speak the language on the show: Chinese actors,

I guess you'd have to explain why the Alliance flag is a fusion of the U.S. and Chinese flags, and why the Alliance has been said by Whedon himself in interviews to be a fusion of the two governments/cultures. And why there are lots of Chinese objects, writing, clothing, etc. as props. This is all his idea, not mine.

Do you think it's possible to do Wonder Woman in a way that deviates from the Wonder Woman canon like this show seems to deviate from the Green Arrow canon? No mythological backstory, super powers, magic, bustier outfit, etc.? I fee like DC has to make a call about this stuff like Marvel did with Aliens. Arrow either

So I should see this in IMAX?
