Dog first, then the bun, like the professionals do it.
Dog first, then the bun, like the professionals do it.
The follow through made me laugh out loud.
My last point was referring to the premise of the whole fucking show. Half the government, and presumably half the population, of the Alliance was Chinese, so where were all the Chinese people? You'd think there'd be some random Chinese people around with some lines of dialogue, right? Or are they all hiding…
It's amazing how this show just kills Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in every aspect of this genre, despite its flaws and occasional silliness.
The actor's father is from Taiwan, so he could have grown up speaking Hakka, Min, or Mandarin. My guess is that Cantonese is not a native dialect he has a lot of experience with.
Noooooooooo!
They need unmarked black SUV's. Roll like a pro or get the fuck out.
Someone has mentioned this before, I'm sure, but the scripts have the feel of an homage to Whedon's style without achieving the same level of quality. A few of the quieter quotidian moments (Ward revealing he likes board games, Simmons telling Skye she missed a button, May almost smiling while pouring a drink) are…
Just for shits, can you give an example? I don't know crap about computers, so as long as they say things quickly I just nod and say, "Carry on."
Coulson sings!
Yeah, he did alright with it. Also, nice to have people who really speak Cantonese using the language. The Mandarin on Firefly was terrible, and for being one-half of the Alliance, there were exactly zero Chinese on the show.
Too bad the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent-lady wasn't in time to save her.
Like climbing the rope in gym class? But she seems like she is in her 20's.
I thought so too. It seems like their nickname for the villains.
I actually prefered the emphasis on the action this week. If this show became more like Strike Back with super powers, that'd be okay.
Blasphemy! Kelly Hu's ass makes me believe in god again.
She's a poor man's Alyson Hannigan. Accept no substitutes.
Meh. Some minor improvements here and there tonight. With a full season we'll see what happens. The characters were coming together a bit more and there were some nice moments between them. I liked Skye's quip to Ward: "You're a robot, can you do that?"
Ah, well that makes way more sense. But for next week's episode, she is listed as "Sara Lance/Black Canary" at IMDB. I hope it's Dinah Drake and not Sara Lance returned from the dead with a bottle of Clairol.
I really hope it doesn't happen, actually. My interpretation of the situation is that she isn't really interested in him, she just can't help treating him like the man candy he is. It's like having her own real-life action figure to play with. A real romance would just be all kinds of cheese and cuteness.
