    My vote goes to the Bloody Mary episode as well.  I love Sam's "Oh man I give up!" when Gary comes back in at the end, and the whispered "We're number one!" to close out the episode.

    I like Radio City better than #1 Record too, but it took several listens for me to come to that conclusion.  If I only get one chance to convince someone of the charms that Big Star has to offer, I go with #1 Record.

    I agree… as I was reading through this, I kept waiting and waiting for Big Star to feature prominently and was surprised to see them last until Advanced Studies.  #1 Record in particular is completely accessible and captivating from the first listen, and in an alternate universe was played all over the radio while
