she could have been really over-the-top saccharine sweet; really play up the musical aspect of it. I think that would have both complimented Ginger's performance & make herself stand out more. Trixie didn't need to throw herself around or anything, but she came off a bit stiff here & kinda delivered her lines flatly.

yup yup yup! made the first time seem like a lucky fluke :(

oooo i see what you're saying. i thought you wanted Trixie to have Ging's part.

yeah she definitely tried her best at the song & wasn't terrible. I thought her transformation into Divine was outstanding, too.

and all the writing for the skits is soooooo bad

nah Ginger was brilliant as the egg lady. I was surprised at just how well eggsecuted it was. going by that alone, she deserved the win, but her runway was lacking. i think the issue with hers (and Kennedy's & Trixie's) was that they were garish outfits, but sort of built characters around them and made them work.

i guess Trixie is just good with sarcastic one-liners and not so much acting. she's over-the-top in her look, but is always sort ironically over-it in her humor (which i still like, don't get me wrong).

yup, very underwhelming. I loved Pearl's lip sync style the first time, but it didn't really fit here and retroactively made the previous one less impressive.

I actually kinda liked it. This is the sort of Lisa Frank acid dream look I was hoping Jade Jolie would deliver.

Ross should be a permanent judge. Charismatic and clever. How many times has Carson made a joke about Ginger's name (which literally means vag, so he's not even being that clever)?

yes! and i feel like Ru has been so condescending and the other queens edited so negatively, that it was nice to see everyone in a much more positive light.

oof that bird one was the one i disliked the most. it seems it like was made out of plastic that didn't fit her right and showed off her boxy body. it was all gimmick with those gigantic wings, but nothing really interesting or substantial to back it up.

I was hoping against hope that Fame would answer that set-up with some sort of clueless-yet-knowlingly-so response like "my head feels fine, though sometimes my jaw hurts from all the fantastic blowjobs i give".

I feel Max redeemed herself. Actually all the queens kinda did. Tempest got her back-story, Sasha proved capable in the LSFYL, Jasmine was pleasant, Kandy was…. there. Even queens that weren't eliminated benefited, like Kasha acknowledging Violet's maturation.

Yeah. It was clear there was no other way this was going to end. And I'm totally OK with that. It was actually much more fulfilling having her earn her spot back and getting a chance to see the other queens than if they did the return like in previous seasons (let's hope Trixie avoids the curse of being sent home

She *did* do a pretty good job painting Kandy (no beard!); it was just the concept behind it that was rather flat. Also, Violet/Max got a lot of praise and the costume they sewed was just a sheet wrapped around their torsos.

I think Fame is more charming and unique than Act. Also, I like Fame's runways much more. Act always relied on her natural beauty & a lot of her outfits just looked costume-y or featured her boyish body. Keep in mind, these opinions are all within the context of RPDR. I've said it before & I'll say it again: Courtney

Shoot. I don't think Mariah Balenciaga herself could have said it any better.

Fame & Violet could have worked together to give each other more of a concept to rely on (like one is the evil twin), but that could also have failed spectacularly. In another universe, that double win went to Donatella & Donatella (with a goatee).

JDF's Raven wasn't great, but at least she's like the first big queen to not rely on food as the main joke. Props for that.
