sometimes her reads are justified and honestly funny ("what did she die of? first aid???), but yeah i find her generally just kinda mean/bitter

Katya's struggle (and her moment with Fame) is the kind of narrative and drama that actually works. Not that forced, over-edited crap of rivalries and messages from home. And I don't mean to make Katya's issues just about entertainment value - they're clearly real & personal. But it does make her that much more…
She would definitely do better than all the other choices of eliminated queens. I think most people felt like she had a lot more to give, but if she doesn't, she'll just continue the pattern of returning queens being eliminated again right away. No harm or unfairness done.
I think Max was trying to exit in a big way that would keep her relevant like Willam did. She's been so calculating this entire season (her affect, making sure cameras are away when being shady, etc). Makes me rethink all the times she was *seemingly* sincerely supportive of the other queens.
YES. Violet's shade is so much more palatable than Ginger's. Hard to pinpoint why but I think part of it may be that Violet is much more casual and sometimes goofy about her (her impression of Max), while Ginger's is more a defense against her own insecurities (her delusional gripe that other girls like Pearl are…
Kennedy's runways have always just been OK to me. Which is strange considering she is billing herself as a pageant queen. I mean, she has the poise and attitude of past pageant queens, but I think her strengths lie much more firmly in comedy than look.
Her quips were funny, but yeah no real impersonation besides the accent.
that whole switcheroo was conducted by Ru. she totally steered the entire thing.
I thought JDF gave some fierce LSFYL performances. And Pearl's turned my veins into scarlet lightning. Made me feel shit.
I'm suprised we didn't get Dueling Donatellas, too. I totally thought that's what Ru was going for when she manipulated Fame (it was almost icky how much Ru took advantage of Fame's suggestible-ness) into going back to her original choice.
but then wouldn't she be horning in on Ginj's racket?
well without Trixie, of course it's going to be dire.
agreed. Kennedy showed a lot more personality & vivacity in the music video, but it was just a really broad character that's been done on the show quite a bit before. Also, I hated her "ain't nobody got time for that" tagline at the end because it was so apropos of nothing, just wacky & disjointed.
her one-liners and gif-worthiness. she is spreading like a tumblr wildfire. also, a possible redemption arc?
yeah I'm surprised Fame got off so easily. she had a really poor attitude and had so much trouble singing/dancing….
I can't even remember Pearl's dance moves, but that's because I was to entranced by her face. She was full-on hypnotic cobra.
you are so right. but those two shouldn't have been in the bottom two in the first place. :(
Kandy didn't stand out in her music video and her runway was a snore. I have no idea who she is or what her sensibilities are. She should have gone home. MKD is also rather boring, but at least has a defined persona (old school broadway queen). I don't much like Kennedy, either, but she did deserve the win this…
Yeah Ginger's becoming much more negative than I had expected. Maybe she's just prone to sticking her foot in her mouth? I don't think Pearl is lacking in personality, it's just very subdued and subtle. I actually really like it and find her so entertaining and gif-able.
I really wanted to like Ginger more, but I've been finding her pretty mediocre. Also I may not be giving Katya enough credit. She always turns it out, but she just doesn't jump out at me like some others. Also, also, I forgot that Pearl is in my top 3. …well four. I can't decide which of those four would get cut. But…
