None of the above really. It can be both sweet and cartoonish at times but most of the humor is derived from the characters quirks/interactions.

I hope Quinn kills both Brody and Carrie in the finale and we just have the Quinn show in S3. Saul can be the main antagonist who we kind of want to root for, as well.

Donna is losing now that Chris is in a better place through his therapy, no more sweet head on boob action.

Hate to go agaynest (Canadian pronun.) popular opinion, but it was my least favorite episode of the season. Did not enjoy the Penny plot at all and not enough Alex.

Both characters drink and get into trouble but McNulty was tenacious and obsessed with the job (in a way that's really more similar to Freddie on The Hour). Hector seems to mainly enjoy the celebrity of the job and is only competitive enough to keep up his appearance.

I would have to agree, the Pawnee/Eagleton rivalry has never been all that funny to me. The Andy/April storyline saved it enough to make it a B episode though imo.

Part of it is an act for humor, part of it is really not caring I think. Also, I believe her 1st Gramercy appearance was her first time on the show in a very long time.
