I was going to say, LiB, that there's only a select amount of circumstances where it is. Bogan dude to other bogan dude he's friends with is pretty much it. Any other situation, say, Judge, Mother, the Prime Minister "Hey, Andy! Y'cunt!" not so much.

The Emperor

@The bastard son of Dean Friedman - I think you mean Melbourne Bitter. The beer VB drinkers turn to when their pride and hope is finally dead.

Yep, good work JVS.

@ Lone Audience - but that Pitchfork review is mostly about the music. "The record is a shambling mess, devoid of the bangers that characterized Arular and Kala", "It's hard to tell whether ///Y/ is half-assed or half-baked. There are certainly a number of good ideas in the mix here, but the execution is lacking",

@John - thanks for the aritcle, interesting. Yeah 4.4 is clearly an outlier when compared with their in-house averages.

I think some of you guys think the editorial process at Pitchfork is like Pravda. I think it's more likely the individual reviewers actually usually get to write reviews based on their opinions with some reference to the publication's broader cultural norms - just like every other reviewer in every other publication

Interestingly the score spread between AVC and Pitchfork is HUGE on this one. Pfork gave it 4.4 so that's like, what a D?

I LOVE that when he leaves the scene its by moving the wheelchair with his feet. It's funnier even than him walking up to the wheelchair because its like not only does he not belong in it, he's moving it with his legs and not his arms which is the complete opposite of the purpose of a wheelchair.

Man, that can be maddening about S-K - sometimes the messagey
lyrics are terrible - that line about 'more to this than to be a size 6' comes to mind - but sometimes they are amazing - 'Faraway' for example.

This is a pretty weird thread dudes. Albini and Two and a Half Men.

Look Who's Predatoring.

Time Trumpet was pretty good. Worth it for having both Richard Aoyade and Stuart Lee in it. If you haven't seen Stuart Lee's Comedy Vehicle its worth checking out - very good stand-up with some really weird sketches.

The song, I think, hasn't ever been public domain. Some Australian Girl Scouts lady wrote it and Larrikin bought it from her estate I think. Also the case has concluded and Larrikin were awared 5% of past royalties back to 2002 and 5% of future royalties.

Just to, I don't know, slightly singe your minds:

Also, ironic prejudice can be a pretty good way to show how stupid actual prejudices are. It would be nice to think that's what most people are doing here.

Paving the way for yeast
I'm pretty sure all the yeast infections this caused ruined a few sex lives.

Man, this is beer porn. Keep… keep going.

That's fascinating. In Australia we have a shit-ton of small and micro-breweries and I don't think any of them use cans. The last canned beer I drank was some Sapporo (Japan) pint cans and that was a few years ago. I think you'd have a hard time convincing people who know there are more than two types of beer to drink

I think 'surrounding herself in oppulance' actually means 'ad hominen argument'.
