My 10 year old, a NOTORIOUS lover of both bad movies and of over-using emojis, thought this looked dire. I have a hard time believing that even the promise of 2 hours of air conditioning in late July will be enough to make people go see this.
It's tragic that his own story was butchered so gruesomely. It's even more tragic that he did it himself.
Well, no. But I guess that would work too.
Sorry to hear that. What the hell, right?
I loved your second paragraph that began with. "When I look at the world, I see a planet begging for the virtues of a common man like you." From your description, I suspect the world would be much better place with more people like your father in it.
I think you have to be an exact age to have gotten into the Ben Stiller Show (currently 42-48). My husband is still cracking up over the Last of the Mohicans bit where they run on treadmills.
I'm reminded of the refrain in that Series Of Unfortunate Events show:

One of the reasons I really like her as an actor is that she comes off as intelligent, with a mind full of ideas and experience. It's possible she's full of crazy ideas and crazy experience.
The French/Italian name for the disease is a lot more poetic-sounding than the English translation. I can see why they thought it worked better in original. However "From the Land of the Moon" is terrible.
I'm good friends with his godmother. She is on a different continent, but I'm going to tell her about the cutting when she gets back (very soon). She should be able to tell his parents.
This summer we have a 15 year old boy working as an intern with us. He has a gay-straight alliance bracelet, so I assumed he was gay, and also assumed he was in with a solid support network at our queer-friendly local high school, and didn't think too much more about it. But his godmother confided in me that he's…
