Just speculating but maybe a lot of the episodes were boarded/written before Thomas was written into the show, hence he's being shoehorned in? Maybe as the season goes on we'll see more of him. And he might even open his mouth again (although not when Muscle Man's around…)

I thought it was a joke like "The Edge" until I saw his facial expression change. Then I realized that he was only The Bass Player. A great line.

All I could think of was that they would have needed to pay Benson massive royalties, but he never seemed that interested in it. I agree that it seemed a little forced, though.

Good review: I do like Benson's feeling of conflict between despising Mordecai and Rigby for their laziness, but also kinda looking up to them as his connection to 'cool'.
